Probiavi... versus the competition

When we first decided to produce the best probiotics on the market for your pet, we tested out the competitors’ products. We purchased several samples from different suppliers making sure that they had not exceeded their expiry dates.

We kept the samples in the refrigerator until they were tested, using three microbiological counting methods (RCM2, MRS3 and M174). In this way, we obtained the total count for anaerobic, aerobic and thermophilic bacteria. The results are shown on the chart below. We can now confirm that the main reason why most products are ineffective is because they do not contain enough probiotics to make a difference in your pet’s intestines.

We computed on the chart the concentration indicated on the label and the real bacteria count. Every single product, except for BioPlus from BirdCare Company, had a real count which was lower than specified on the label. Some levels were so low that it was not even possible for us to count them.

We put the PROBIAVI count on the graph to demonstrate that it is the most potent PROBIOTIC on the market today. Most of the other products include vitamins, electrolytes or minerals. This is not the case with PROBIAVI.

PROBIAVI only contains specially selected probiotics for your pet. This is an important point. The concentration and species (bacteria) selected cannot be the same for all animals. For example, to be efficient, those selected for birds, have to be developed to suit their higher body temperature.
