Increase pet food stability

Results from the PROBIAVI study on raw food stability for pets with and without the addition of PROBIAVI.

When PROBIAVI was created, we looked for a special bacterial strain for each pet species (dogs, cats and birds). We selected a different strain for each animal. One of our strains (common strain) is a pedioccoccus strain. This special strain possesses a unique quality that surpasses its probiotic qualities.

Pedioccoccus has been used to stop mould proliferation in grain silos. This same bacteria has been proven effective in preventing bad bacteria development in high-protein slurry feed tubes for farm animals (competitive exclusion phenomena).

But, we at PROBIAVI take nothing for granted. We do our own testing to ensure that it works with our product. So we created a test protocol and sent our sample to a microbiology lab. We inoculated some raw pet food with the pathogen and tested the results over a period of time. Some samples were refrigerated and others were kept at room temperature.

In conclusion, the results have shown that moist pet food with PROBIAVI had no mould development and had 10 times fewer pathogens at the end of the test period (14 days). This means that your moist pet food (canned food, eggs and raw meat) will last at least twice as long without spoiling if you use PROBIAVI.

Every PROBIAVI mix (dogs, cats and birds) contains specially selected bacteria for each of your pets. It also contains a sufficient number of pedioccoccus to protect your animal against food poisoning. And pedioccoccus is a probiotic too!
